Last Sunday was raining like crazy, and none of my friends were talking in the group chat. That meant I had a day to myself. I read my book, cooked a delicious meal, and even did an online yoga class. What else could I do? Of course, I played Minecraft all day! And I love it, and honestly, kind of needed it. In that game, you get the best of both worlds: you can have the chill, relaxing features, but you can also try to survive the night with a wooden sword. It sounds like a complicated quest, and that's the beauty and fun of it! It was a perfect Sunday, and I can't wait for another rainy day to have an excuse to dive into that awesome world once again.

The best part about video games is reconnecting with our inner child. As adults, we sometimes don't allow ourselves to feel innocent or focus on things unrelated to work or responsibilities. Should we blame ourselves for wanting a little break from adulthood and go back to childhood? Of course not! It's healthy, from time to time, to let go and spend a whole afternoon playing your favorite video game, if you have one. And if video games aren't your thing, I'm sure there's one activity you used to do as a kid that feels special and wholesome to go back to. If you haven't done this in a while, I encourage you to spend some time with your inner kid and forget about being an adult for a second. Grab your favorite snack and do that thing you've been postponing. You'll feel better afterward, more recharged and with more energy to keep tackling your day!
